Forthcoming School Talks

On Wednesday 27th January Steve Wood, dog Warden for HBC will be attending 3 schools in Hyndburn to talk to the school children about being safe around dogs. This is due to the increasing incidents of dangreous dog situations and so the police in conjunction with the dog warden service believe that children need to be aware and have the tools to keep as safe as poosible if they should find themselves in a potentialy frightening or dangerous sitauation with any dog whether it be known to them or not. Steve will be accompanied by PCSO Steve Charnley and of course, Woody Woods, our famous education tool.

Big News For Steve, HSDIN Chairman

Huge Congratulations to Steve, founder and chairman of HSDIN.
As you may know, Steve is Hyndburns Dog Warden, and out of all of the UK, he has just been voted DOG WARDEN OF THE YEAR.This is a prestigous honour, that very few will achieve. Fantastic News and a huge Well Done from all of the 4675 stray dogs that have been given a second chance since Steve began this charity in 2001. It is through his foresight, passion and dedication to the job of Dog Warden, that these strays have found medical treatment if needed, and a loving forever home. Without this most of the dogs would have been put to sleep, and not living the great life that they are.
Steve and his dogs Woody and Betty are a familiar sight in Hyndburn, so if you see them, you know that this is Dog Warden Of The Year.
Well Done Steve
