Our mission statement is “giving stray dogs a second chance”,
The charity began in 2000 and we rely on the generosity of the public to help us in our efforts to give these stray dogs a second chance. Your money contributes to example of our work below:
- Payment of vet bills for stray dogs needing emergency treatment.
- Contribution to a micro-chipping programme across the borough.
- An education programme in local schools exploring being safe around dogs, animal husbandry and the dangers of toxicara.
- Prevention of dogs becoming strays.
- One to one support of families with a re-homed stray dogs
- Local dog training classes.

Homeless Hounds - Dogs looking for a home
HSDIN's mission statement is "giving stray dogs a second chance", and we are supporting Glencoe Kennels in their aim to rehome as many strays as they can. Please help us to support them by going down to Glencoe Kennels, and giving a stray dog a second chance. Take the dog to HSDIN's vets for a health check and HSDIN will pay for the initial consultation. HSDIN's vets is Myerscough Veterinary Group.
